If you're just beginning your journey in business , or an experienced professional who just hasn't been able to gain the respect you deserve, the book Get Rich in the Deep Ends teaches you how to control your market and be a valuable expert in the industry you're in and create the solid, profitable business that you've always wanted to be.

Own Your Business and Your Market

Reviewed in the United States on November 1, 2020

Verified Purchase

Get Rich in the Deep End by Brent Weaver presents a unique and powerful perspective in building, managing, and growing a business today.

Additionally, in the light of the recent pandemic and businesses being forced to improvise to stay afloat, the premise of this book becomes more impactful. This impact proves to be a shattering of current business ideas and specifically the acquiring of clientele that owners seem to always struggle within attaining and maintaining.

The premise is a successful strategy that doesn't necessarily equate to get more and more clients, but to "Own Your Market."

By this, the author asserts that "Most businesses target everyone so they end up owning nothing." The key, he maintains, is to be an authority in one aspect of the marketplace. He adds people (customers) want experts.

As an illustration, he states that being a specialist is like diving into the deep end of the pool. Therefore, the "swimmer" is fully immersed in the water with fewer swimmers around and therefore less competition.

The book then proceeds to build on this premise leading the reader to the ultimate destination. That destination is a business that owns a particular segment of the business world as it relates to a business service provided.

Get Rich in the Deep End by Brent Weaver is well written. It begins with an intriguing account of a business owner who was struggling to acquire clients. The book then explains the concepts and takes the business owner on a significant journey of new thinking as well as teaching the concepts.

The narrative is sure to stimulate the mind of the owner as they potentially challenge their business model and head out to the deep end of the pool.

Delightful finance book

Get Rich in The Deep End is a great masterpiece written by the Colorado author Brent Weaver and the Canadian author Aaron Wrixton. Brent is the founder and CEO of UGURUS, a business training and education company while Aaron writes for more than 100 different industries across the English-speaking world. This non-fiction book is written for a general audience but really interesting for business owners.

I really appreciate this book since it caught my attention as soon as I opened it. It is a very well-known fact that most people worry about money and finance. The authors included in 242 pages, common sense advice of today’s business that are applicable to everyone.

I simply loved how this book is written; it is entertaining as well as informative, with simple terminologies and very helpful. I am not very good at maths, nor at technical finance stuff and saving, and I could understand it perfectly, so this book is presented in a way in which everyone can interpret it.

I think anyone interested in wealth and finance can get value from this book. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys this kind of reading.

This Definitely Answers One of My Most Common Business Questions

I have been trying for a long time to put my own business together, even if it is extremely small and only contains the work that I do here in my home office. One thing that I have been reluctant to complete throughout the development of my business is the creation of a narrow niche for the content that I create for clients. I have constantly been the one to answer "yes" to everyone who asks me to help with the creation of content of all sources, across all industries and fields, and in every single format. While I love the ability of learning a great deal from all of that, now that I have such a large amount of experience and knowledge I have to accept the fact that I only have so many hours available in a day, so many hands to apply to my work, and if I were to narrow my focus (or niche) to a more individual field, I would be able to charge a much larger rate. The key to "getting rich" as presented in this book. It's a great resource for all of you in the small businesses working to master any service industry. Take a look!

Guide to Market Authority

Reviewed in the United States on November 1, 2020

Get Rich in the Deep End talks about the importance of establishing your niche in the market for better productivity. The author shows that most of the businesses offer generalist services and products. Hence, while they are dependent on the customer's demands, they also take more time to understand a particular client issue resulting in wastage of human hours and resources. These generalist businesses also survive due to word of mouth and goodwill of the customers. Now when you work in a specific niche, you gain a mastery over it. You know just what the problem is and deal with it without wasting time. You bring in earlier experiences into giving a better service and ultimately take home a bigger profit. However building a niche requires work and sacrifices. You may have to turn down some customers and businesses, but ultimately it pays off in the long run and make you a master of your field and anyone requiring that service would look up to you.

The book provides a guide to how to find your niche and work on it and highlights the benefits of developing in the market.

I like how he started the book by making the readers understand the true concept of marketing, and what it really is than the initial perception of people that Marketing is just simply promoting a product when in reality, it's absolutely more than that. As a person with an expertise in Marketing, I absolutely recommend reading this book because it is informative and relevant to all aspiring businessmen and businesswomen out there.

Reading “get rich..” by Brent Weaver made me feel I was listening to the most outstanding teacher, following a captivating Netflix series, and attending a fantastic seminar. It is a well-written, well-developed book that keeps things exciting chapter after chapter.

I liked the honesty with which the author opens. As the pandemic loomed over the world, he began to question if his methods –specialization vs. generalization –would still be applicable and would serve most struggling businesses. Instead of giving up, he reinvented himself and, once more, proved his theories and processes are influential.

I loved the book's structure, the keynotes, the examples tables, and the conversational approach. I urge anyone battling with repeated mistakes and demand issues to give the 5-A framework a try. Top-notch.

I don't read a lot of books, not really my thing, but every once in awhile I come across one that piques my interest enough to give a shot. And often times, even those end up collecting dust on my bookshelf. As an agency owner, this one interested me and I was pretty hooked from the first chapter. Here's the thing...Brent does something that so many don't when it comes to non-fiction books...he tells a story. I friggin loved what he did by incorporating an ongoing story in every other chapter...so brilliant. I found myself wanting to keep going. Yes, the prescriptive chapters were on point and certainly helpful, but by "Weaving" a story into the book, it kept me going and interested. Finished in a few days, which is incredibly rare for me. If you are a current or aspiring agency owner, this is a must-read...niching is the future of agencies. Highly recommended!

Wrestling with whether to generalize or niche your digital agency?

"Get Rich In The Deep End" arrived today and I blazed through it , getting a mountain of rich insight into how I will be setting up my digital agency. It truely came at the right time for me as I was about to launch a more generalized agency, a one stop shop if you will. After reading Brent Weaver's book, I see the benefit of niching down, owning the market and then scaling. I like the way he presented 'The 5-A-Framework" and then went through each one with a chapter followed by a chapter telling the story of how Heather Carlyle implemented his mentoring. The story kept me engaged as a reader and I could see myself going through some of the same struggles and challenges as well as having successes. I also liked the take aways at the end of each chapter. Chock full of resourses and a must have book for digital agencies.

He has created the 5-A Framework focusing on :1. Audience 2. Awareness 3. Attract 4. Authority 5. Acquire. In this book, you’ll find a chapter dedicated to each of these 5 A’s and achieve a greater understanding of how to implement each A into your business strategy. Are you a digital agency owner? Yes? Buy this book.

I've followed the business-changing advice of the wonderful Mr Brent Weaver for the last 7 years and was absolutely delighted to see this book hit the shelves.

If you're tired of constantly trying to find new clients, competing for $500 website projects, or you just know there must be an easier way of improving and growing your agency, this book will set you on the right path.

Inside, you'll find real life examples of other agency owners, their struggles, and how they went from barely surviving to thriving by choosing a niche, becoming an industry authority, and charging what they're worth.

The book itself is a nice, easy read - Aaron Wrixon's prose is always a joy to read and the two authors together make for an enjoyable book.

Highly recommend - try it, you won't be disappointed!
