Wow.

Do I have a big name for you guys on the Millionaire Secrets podcast today…

It’s Dave Asprey.

Founder of the world-renowned Bulletproof Coffee and the biohacking movement.

On today’s show, we get straight into what you might expect…

Biohacking.

More specifically, we talk about the importance of biohacking for peak performance among digital marketers and entrepreneurs in general.

What is biohacking?

In the words of Dave himself,

Biohacking is the art and science of changing the environment around you and inside you, so you have more control over your own biology.

In his mid-to-late twenties, Dave weighed 300lbs.

Low energy and brain fog were significantly disturbing his ability to perform his role as an entrepreneur effectively.

An hour and a half in the gym each day and a strict diet just wasn’t helping him drop the weight. Doctors didn’t believe him when he said he was eating right.

It felt like no traditional methods of weight loss & healthy lifestyle could help him...

So Dave took it upon himself to hack a new way of living that would improve his overall quality of life...and hopefully….longevity.

Biohacking was born.

Dave goes deeper...

By biohacking your body, Dave believes that it allows you to connect on a deeper level with your clients and people in general.

Narrowing it further,

Dave uses the art and science of copywriting as an example of how, by clearing your body and mind of toxins…

...you are able to write and connect at a more emotional level with your customers.

The Art and Business of Online Writing: How to Beat the Game of Capturing and Keeping Attention Paperback – August 29, 2020

by Nicolas Cole (Author)

4.8 out of 5 stars

205 ratings

★ From the #1 writer on Quora, 15x Top Writer on Medium, and Top 10 columnist for Inc Magazine ★

What are the secrets to writing online?

Why do some writers accumulate hundreds of thousands, even millions of views on their content—and others write and write, only to go unnoticed?

Nicolas Cole, one of the most viral columnists on the internet with more than 100 million views on his writing, is pulling back the curtain. After becoming the #1 most-read writer on all of Quora in 2015, a Top 10 contributing writer for Inc Magazine from 2016 to 2018, and one of the most popular writers on Medium in more than 15 different categories, Cole went on to build a multi-million-dollar ghostwriting company publishing thousands of articles on the internet for more than 300 different Silicon Valley entrepreneurs, C-level executives, New York Times best-selling authors, Olympic athletes, Grammy-winning producers, and renowned industry leaders.

How?

By using his own personal toolkit of writing strategies, headline structures, formats, and proven styles, all of which were mastered over a 10-year period.

“This book contains everything I know about online writing,” says Cole. “From going viral, to building a massive library of content that will continue to pay you dividends well into the future.”

In this book you will learn:

✓ Why you should NOT start a blog—and where you should be writing online instead.

✓ How to beat “the game” of internet publishing—and the 7 levels of success.

✓ How “going viral” on social platforms works (and how to not give up in the process).

✓ The Endless Idea Generator: How to never run out of things to write about.

✓ The Perfect Post: How to write headlines people can’t help but want to read.

✓ How to create your own “Content Roadmap,” and position yourself as an influential voice in your industry or niche.

✓ How to turn proven online writing into longer, more valuable assets (books, ebooks, physical products, paid newsletters, companies, etc.).

✓ And the 1 habit very single writer today needs to master in order to become successful.

This book is the Ultimate Guide to writing in the digital age.

Far Exceeded Expectations...Not Full of Common Advice Tripe

Reviewed in the United States on September 19, 2020

I finished Chapter One and thought, "That alone was worth the price of the book".

Then I said the same with the second chapter...and at least half of the subsequent chapters.

This book has really good advice, not just for bloggers, but for anyone who wants to understand how online writing works in the 21st century...and how to save yourself months of trial and error if you wish to become a professional yourself. It is very comprehensive and will remain on ongoing resource well after the first read.

That said, I still can't get over the fact that he is a publisher (having created a publishing firm himself) and yet his Kindle version is a bit of a mess. I came across at least three article titles/headlines that weren't there so it just finished a sentence with a comma and then a space...but clearly there was supposed to be some title or headline and that headline is missing.

Also, I'm looking for the Table of Contents and there isn't any. The Kindle version just starts the book but I can't go from chapter to chapter because those chapter headings aren't in the format itself. This is strikingly amateur given how really, really good the content of the book is. I'm hoping he can fix these errors since it is a digital product.

Must Have How-To

Paraphrased: “I’ve shared how but most won’t do. Why? Because successful writing requires discipline.”

Cole’s book is loaded with actionable steps, detailed how-to, and clear examples. It took me five weeks to read this book because I’d read a page and pause to implement, often writing for hours while practicing techniques and growing a new following.

Result? A slow, but powerful read for me! During the five weeks, I transitioned from occasional blogger to daily writer|content creator with immediate results.

Highly recommend!

A detailed guide of online writing from 0 to 1

Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2022

Verified Purchase

This is a detailed guide of online writing from 0 to 1, from the psychological warming-up of the novice period to the self-positioning of the starting period to the roadmap planning of the growth period to the advancing development of the maturity period, and finally to the path selection of the harvest period.

Not only for online writing but also for those who are interested in content creation or knowledge service can read this book, after all, it is all about the competition for audience attention and value delivery.

The author, Nicolas Cole, started out as a World of Warcraft PVP player who didn't have much to do with writing but now is a top player on two major content platforms - Quora and Medium, and one of Inc Magazine's top ten contributing writers.

From his perspective, online writing is also a competitive game that is fun to play against others, and only those who can both write consistently and think commercially will survive and thrive in this game.

Probably the Most Comprehensive Book I've Read On This Topic

Reviewed in the United States on March 29, 2021

To put it lightly, I have read a LOT of books about the craft & profession of online writing. I'm a bit of a skeptic about the advice commonly given by writing "influencers" like Mr. Cole - but this particular book was everything I could have hoped for and more. It was comprehensive, it was actionable, and it was engaging without overdoing the cheerleader vibe. HIGHLY recommend to anyone serious about pursuing their writing as a true full time career.

This Book Is the Cheat Code to Your Writing Success

Reviewed in the United States on November 14, 2021

There are writers you follow for a minute of inspiration only to forget about and them months later, and then there is Nicolas Cole.

I’ve been reading his Medium articles since 2018. Here we are nearing the end of 2021 and his content has leveled up to intoxicating.

I have been reading 10 pages a day of this book and then practicing what I read with my article writing. There are cheat codes in life (from those that have found success) and this book is the cheat code to online writing.

“Successful writers play the game of Online Writing consciously. Unsuccessful writers play the game unconsciously-and then wonder why they aren’t succeeding.”

If you’re on the fence about this purchase, you’re wasting time. But this book and never look back.

An excellent and thorough book that far exceeded my expectations.

I've written e-books that sold worldwide and have also been a paid online copywriter. This is the best resource I've seen for writing online. You're not just told what to do, but also how to do it. It is a fabulously well-done work, and you can feel the author's sincere desire to help you succeed. In a world where so much training and how-to material falls short and under-delivers, Nicolas Cole's book was a wonderful surprise. Highly recommended for anyone who does online writing.

The writing style is engaging and, almost like a good novel, takes you on a journey. The information is solid and helpful to anyone at any stage of writing from the business owner who wants to hone a few skills to the professional content writer who is seeking to make a better income. It is one of the few business books I'd give 6 stars to, however, the limit is 5. My copy is less than a month old, it already has highlights, notes, and stickies that adorn the most important information. I've acted upon some of the suggestions and already boosted my income. Thank you Nicolas for writing this.

If you're reading reviews to decide whether this book is a smart purchase, stop scrolling and buy this book now. You won't find a book out there with better tactical online writing advice, plus marketing, and general guidance on the entire landscape that writers inhabit. I had high hopes for this book and it was better than I expected.
