In regards to Dave Ramsey. We always have to keep in mind the demographic in his target audience. His audience that he’s trying to reach has screwed up big-time and it’s just barely learning finances. Doing things like this may be do advance for his demographic he’s teaching people that are in the gutter. He’s not a high-end financial advisor, he’s a financial counselor.

That is exactly why traditionally yogis used to go off into forests and meditate for years alone! And come back to do the most mindblowing things. They still do to this age. you don't pay any interest on a loan taken out of a life policy 🤔and you don't have to pay the loan back if you don't want 🤔long as the loan doesn't exceed the policy's cash value

Founded in 1930 ostensibly to administer German reparation payments for the First World War but its real purpose as detailed in the Statutes: "promote the cooperation of central banks and to provide ... facilities for international finance". "and to act as a bank for central banks". was later added.
The BIS also facilitates the sale and purchase of gold between central banks and is one of the world's largest holders of gold.
The BIS is not subject to Swiss laws or taxes and authorities may only enter their offices with permission. Some six hundred staff from more than fifty countries do not pay income taxes and their bags are free from searches.
Reparations were a back-and-forth contentious object of negotiations between the subject nations until 1921 when the Reparations Commission reported that Germany would pay 2 billion marks a year until an agreed upon 132 billion gold marks was paid. This agreement would later
become less than relevant when the German economy, and finances, proved incapable of performing on these commitments while internally competing interests struggle to survive.
Hyperinflation was the result as Germans wrestled with soaring unemployment, social chaos, food shortages and Marxist militants in the streets where hostages were seized and shot. Taxes were raised and four -hundred thousand public workers were sacked.
1939. The BIS board installed the powerful industrialist and CEO of I G Farben, the fourth largest concern in the world, a German chemical giant. Products included pharmaceuticals, explosives, fuel, paints, pesticides, fertilizer, tires, poison gases... Farben ran its own concentration camp at Auschwitz. Through BIS the Third Reich enjoyed state sponsored theft of Jewish businesses aided by criminal actions of the Reichsbank. Ethical considerations were not a part of BIS values where right or wrong were absent from the bank's rubric. Many of the materials used in the Blitzkrieg came from Farben. Reichsbank is referred to as the financial motor of war, plunder, and genocide.
In Germany a fifth of all housing was destroyed, food production was half its prewar levels, output was one-third that of 1938, many goods were rationed, wages and prices were controlled, and the black market prospered. The Reichsbank was abolished and supplanted with a new central bank, and currency, while Germany's recovery was rooted in the Third Reich's infrastructure and other assets that exceeded values of 1936. Mostly this was because armament and other German companies reinvested massive profits.
Page 159 details the destinies of many Nazi enablers including I G Farben executives, camp doctors connected to prisoner experiments, 104 convicted Nuremberg defendants, and noteworthy especially is a commuted death sentence of one defendant who had personally supervised a mass execution of seven hundred victims
In 1977 BIS moved into new quarters inside an eighteen story building in Basel and the staff also had access to in-house medical services, a bomb shelter, a canteen for lunch, a restaurant on the top floor, and a country club outside of Basel with swimming and tennis. Ah, "the Tower of Basel" would become an increasing metaphoric reference by many observers and especially by critics of the arcane protector of pecuniary interests.
"The euro was a monstrous creation... It was completely misdesigned," so said economists from business interests but politicians from Germany, France, and Belgium were au contraire in their academic rhetoric which finally prevailed.
In the final chapter author Adam LeBor muses about the BIS as an opaque elitist, and anti-democratic institution that should have been closed in the thirties before it funded the Holocaust and the Nazi war machine and before the birth of the European Central Bank. Instead it has prospered by opacity, secrecy and by a shield of protective and unique legal immunities.
This book's 275 pages are filled with narratives of endemic corruption and greed, self-serving insider trading, the moral indifference of high level executives, the financial facilities for the Nazi's Third Reich through the Reichsbank and the BIS, all aided by the complicity of American financiers and lawyers.

How the IBS, World Bank and FRS and UN are connected.

The book was very informative to explain why IBS and World Bank were created and how the FRS, UN were connected to Europe. The book also states the IBS now earns $10 million dollars a month after expenses and it is tax free with little accountability. It sounds like the banking system in Europe is about a group of "good-o-boys" who keep moving around from one banking position to another. Even a former Nazi criminal who was found guilty of human rights abuses and sentences 10 yrs. in prison served only 2 yrs. and upon release he got a job in a Bank.

In recent times when conscription or the "draft" was legal and many were sent to both Europe and Asia to defeat both Germany and Japan, the Bank of International Settlements (BIS) was directly aiding these enemies of the West by funding arms production and Genocide by being a Gateway for stolen and looted gold reserves of conquered European countries to murder millions, simply because the paperwork was in order. Even though the OSS used the BIS for intelligence purposes, the bank had leaks and the head of the Bank during these times was even an American, yet the human cost makes this organization culpable of Crimes Against Humanity in so many ways, yet almost nothing was done to even recognize this travesty of international justice.
I suggest that if the public knew of these shenanigans, the cry of "Hell no, we won't go!" would have evolved much earlier from the conscripts and draftees of that time..
This book is a revelation. It shows when sheltered by international treaty, with no checks and balances, or audits of actions, an officious form of corruption leads to actions that would imprison mere mortals such as you and I. The adage that "Absolute power corrupts absolutely" is proven here.
It is a tough read, in some cases, as the German industrial leaders, knowing that the war was lost, established foreign investment channels to be used in the re-industrialization of Germany under a new Reich. This did not happen, but the reindustrialization of Germany did, with the same industrialists that fed the Nazi war machine, after some went to prison for a few months, regained their industrial power and positions.
It is even suggested in this book, that the bombing raids against German industry, at the cost of many thousand of air crew, was influenced, somehow by the BIS, as few German chemical works were bombed.
After reading this book, consider the reality of how much sooner the European War and the Asian War would end if the BIS was forbidden to deal with both countries and deny them banking facilities, and these rules still operate today and are still protected by international treaty from any investigations into BIS's affairs.
What secrets must be located within BIS's records and libraries!
This book is a terrific read, and is accompanied by footnotes that refer to actual documents, some of which are no longer secret and available on the internet, and all support the premise that this bank, originally set up to manage WWI German reparations, then run by the Germans themselves, has outlived its original purpose almost a century later.
I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in how the world actually works as opposed to how we are told it works.

Adam LeBor explains all in this well-written book - much of it will be shocking. He reveals that it is the bankers who actually won the second world war - perhaps they win all wars and explains how global fiscal, monetary and economic policy is managed by a small group of insiders...who came together decades ago for a useful productive purpose. The book also provides insight into an aspect of human nature - an organization that has outlived it's original purpose will continue to be driven to evolve as long as individuals derive power from it's presence.

Absolutely great book. LeBor uncovered that 4 of the members of the Board of Directors of the BIS were tried for the Nuremberg War Crimes Tribunal? The BIS is a kind of Soviet collective which forces banks to all harvest grain -- or corn -- or potatoes on command. This is why we have gone from one inept crisis to another. The BIS rules have contributed greatly to instability in the system. I used his book in my book "The Next Revolution in our credit-driven economy" also on Amazon.

I can really say that this is huge eye opener and really gives you a different perspective on history, banking, and the market it self. This book is well written and has taught me something new about this Bank in particularly and how more centralized can banking get! I highly recommend anyone into banking and is a college student like I am in the field of economics or finance to really purchase this book as an investment to your knowledge.

Adam LeBor has rendered an important public service with his well written and researched book on the history, purposes and functions of a sovereign international bank headquartered in Basel, Switzerland.
In my readings about our own Federal Reserve Bank it occurred to me that there must somewhere exist an organizing International "central bank." Well, I found it in this book about the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) in Basel. It provides and coordinates financial transfers, regulations, supervision, research and information for its member national central banks. It also hosts the regular Basel meetings of member central bank chiefs.
Mr. LeBor's writing flows like a good mystery story. Naming names, times, places, events, national affiliations and reasons behind the founding and development of the BIS to the top tier of world banking. But there is more. Mr. LeBor not only gives the history of the BIS but also of twentieth century European financial politics and America's involvement. This includes money transfers, payments and exchange rates, national espionage during WWll, Cartels, and trade agreements (treaties) that eventually lead to the development of the European Union and an European monetary unit (Euro).

All that stuff about Nazis, Communists and Muslims - it's just stuff to keep the proles' minds occupied. The real power is money. If you didn't know that already, or even if you did . . . this book is worth reading.
Tower of Basel is the first in-depth account of the most secretive international financial institution. It is based on extensive research conducted in Switzerland, Britain, and the United States, and in-depth interviews with the key decision makers -such as Paul Volcker, the former chairman of the US Federal Reserve; Sir Mervyn King, the governor of the Bank of England; and the former top Bank for International Settlements managers and officials Tower of Basel tells the inside story of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) which is The central bankers' personal bank.
The bank was established through the Governors of the Bank of England and the Reichsbank in 1930, and protected by an a treaty between the two countries The BIS as well as its funds are out of the jurisdiction of any jurisdiction or government. The bank is not subject to any restrictions. Swiss authorities have no authority over the bank nor its facilities. The BIS has only 140 customers, but has generated tax-free profits of 1.17 billion between 2011 and 2012.
Since its beginning since its inception, the BIS is at the center of global affairs, but was often ignored. In the time of Thomas McKittrick, the bank's American president from 1940 to 1946 from 1940 to 1946, the BIS was operational all through during the Second World War. The BIS took in the looted Nazi gold, ran transactions in foreign exchange for the Reichsbank and was utilised in both Allies as well as The Axis power as a covert contact point to ensure that the financial channels of the world open.
After 1945, the BIS still operating behind the scenes for many years provided the administrative and technical support to the trans-European currency plan starting with the first efforts to coordinate exchange rates during the 1940s, until the introduction in 2002 of the Euro after 2002. It is currently in the middle of efforts to establish an entirely new global financial and regulatory structure which is yet another proof that it is able to influence the financial rules of our time. But despite its crucial role in the political and financial development of the past century, and in the midst of the current financial crisis and the current economic crisis, the BIS is largely unknown until recently.

LeBor presents an excellent history of the pivotal role that the BIS plays in the world of Financial Capitalism. Very well written and the information presented is factually accurate. Highly recommended for anyone interested in the future world Empire that is being established by the global banking elites. This book expands the banking world view depicted in the movie, "The International".

Adams book shows a hard truth. Tax money in the held of peoples not attached to governments. Not only that , they make big profits and noone knows whats happening with that money.

Excellent. It put the spotlight on Swiss banks involvement in WWII and Hitler's Germany. Switzerland's neutrality put them in position to be perfect collaborators with Hitler and gave a perfect hiding spot for all the gold teeth from the Holocaust! Very shocking, factual and well documented!

If you're interested in the coming one-world government, especially the one-world financial system, then you need to understand the BIS. I knew nothing about it before I read this book, and I've studied intergovernmental organizations for years -- that's how secretive the BIS is. Good job!

Peels back the hidden layer of the BIS history. If the American Public knew of its machinations behind the horror of WWII, there would have been an outcry for additional defendents to be tried in Nuremburg.
Well written addendum for history and an implied warning for the future.

A detailed look at the history of the most powerful financial institution in the history of the human race. It reads like a who's who of history with the US Macnamara brothers, Nazis, etc.Loved it! Very lean on alternative visions of economic institutions and policies but a great place to start.

Useful fodder for the conspiracy theorists only this isn't a conspiracy theory. The Bank of International Settlements is real and its power pervasive. It gives some level of comfort that world's financial system is being overseen by very intelligent and competent individuals until it is revealed they are accountable to no one, its workings shrouded in secrecy and protected by a labyrinth of international laws that guarantee its inviolability. This is the embodiment of the say, fact is stranger than fiction. A good read.

A chronological detailed story of B.I.S. which was so impartial that it functioned as the international clearing house for Nazi gold sales and international transactions during WW 2. At times it nearly went under, but , today it has prospered through the global recession and goes from strength to strength accountable only to its independent self .
