Today’s interview for the Millionaire Secrets Podcast is with my good pal Cody Hofhines.

We really dig deep into the psychology of success today and visit some pretty dark places in Cody’s journey to becoming a real estate millionaire.

In 2008 / 2009 Cody was flat broke.

With two young children to feed and bills coming in, he was only scraping by on $19k per year.

Coming home from work one night, he found his wife crying at the kitchen table.

The reason for her tears? Their finances. With the bills coming in, there was no way to survive for another month.

This was Cody’s breaking point.

Enough was enough.

He promised he’d find a way to make a good life for his young family and give back to the community.

And that’s exactly what he did.

He found a way out.

A way to get started in real estate - even though he had zero in the bank.

Funny thing is, Cody looks back on that tough time as being the complete making of him.

Great things come from hitting rock bottom.

I agree.

The leverage caused by pain can be the rocket fuel you need for success.

This truly is one of the most motivational Tony Robbins style interviews I’ve done in a while.

I hope you love it...

A useful guide for modern-day parents, specifically designed for stay-at home dads. It offers advice about everything from learning how cooking and cleaning up with children, to dealing with mental health issues and relationships. It is written with the easiness view that dads are able to use their talents as parents in any way they want to.

"The Ultimate Dad at Home"manual is a compilation of the most effective wisdom and advice from a dads' club and puts it in an arrangement that will help the new fathers who stay at home. It is a book that offers practical and clear instructions for fathers, the book examines parenthood from the father's the lens and encourages dads to utilize their strengths to be a better father. The advice is further supported by the additional 57 dads who offer their tips. The advice is presented by the author's own personal stories which allow the reader to get involved with the material and helps to reinforce the advice. This book tackles the day-to-day challenges of parenting not just for father who is at home, but working dads might get this advice just as well as fathers who live at home.

This book is a must-read, and perfect for all fathers.

While the book is geared towards Stay at Home Dads, Carpenter has masterfully created a book which will appeal to any fathers or fathers to be. The book holds no punches, tackling different things dads, especially SAHDs, need to do, such as take care of their health and connect to other dads.

Carpenter's prose is witty and to the point. It's packed with useful tips on parenting from both him and dozens of other dads. It is a genuine joy to read, as the words and stories are told in a lighthearted but utterly honest manner.

Beyond just tips, Carpenter has created a memoir of his own successes and failures, as well as a manual on how to take his and other fathers' stories and apply them to your own life.

As a stay at home dad, I found this book invaluable. As a father, I think all dads need to read this. And as a lover of books, I think this book was just pure heart and joy. This is a true labor of love, and it shows. I cannot recommend this book enough, and would give it more than five stars if allowed.

Stay at Home Dads, all dads, heck - all moms. This book is for you.

So much of this book is practical advice, but it's peppered with laugh-out-loud stories about the author (and 100s of other dads) forging his own way forward as a Stay at Home Dad, that it could just as easily be shelved in humor as in parenting advice. What I'm saying is, this is just a great book overall. Good advice for any stay at home dad, but also any dad with a desire to be present and accountable in their children's lives and in their family dynamic. Honestly it's pretty good advice for any parents trying to find their style and their support and their sanity. Shannon's got it figured out: Use what you got, play into your strengths, laugh often!

Shannon Carpenter is a personality and while he is giving sound parenting advice, he's also letting his readers peek into his life. Learning about some of his quirks as a human and hearing amusing stories of a dad raising three little ones at home makes this book worthwhile for any reader. Having been raised by a stay-at-home mom, I appreciated Shannon tackling some of the age-old issues from a different perspective. I'll be sending a copy to my brother-in-law so he might decide to be a stay-at-home dad for my little niece. It definitely seems like a great way for a little girl to grow up!

With Carpenter's book as a witty, heartfelt, in your face honest guide, fathers will build even more meaningful bonds with their kids - whether they are stay at home dads or employed dads.

Written for dads- perfect for any parent!

It’s a man’s world- until you need to navigate parenthood.

Full disclosure: I’m a mom. I am also blessed with a freaking amazing husband who is the best dad ever- and it wasn’t until we had our kid that we realized how, frankly, unwelcome dads can be in the parenting world. Moms are totally covered in our quest to research lots of advice and support. There are a LOT of dads who also crave quality parenting advice, help, and cheerleading. You get all of that and so much more in this debut book by Shannon Carpenter.

Carpenter’s book is so well organized and offers all you need to know to get psyched, get ready, and then realize that half the fun are the mistakes along the way. My personal favorite part of the book was the chapter called “Dadventures!” So may great ideas and practical advice.

I also really loved and appreciated how much Carpenter included his tribe in the book. All parents are different, and this element allows for every reader to find a voice that connects to them along with the fearless honesty that permeates Carpenter’s advice and anecdotes.

If you are a stay-at-home dad, aspiring to be, or just a parents at all: you will find so many great ideas, nuggets of advice, and hilarious stories that will make you realize that you are not alone in this insanity called parenthood.

Mr. Wonderful Stay At Home Dad "Danielson"

Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2021

I watch the television interview for the Ultimate Stay-at-Home Dad, and I knew immediately I had to purchased this book for my son. We share many conversations regarding him staying home to raise his three wonderful children. He shared his insecurities and at times how he felt he was not contributing to his house hold, and the anxieties of it all. As his mother I tried to remind him that what he is doing was an absolutely amazing job raising those three wonderful children. I sent him this book with a message " You are not alone in this journey". There are many Stay At Home Hero's... Some do it even better then their own wife.. Stay At Home Dads deserve "RESPECT"... Thank you for writing this Book...it's Awesome...

The parenting book I wish I had years ago

I became a stay at home dad 15 years ago. Back in, let's just call it, 'the great unknown', I was confused and concerned, yet curious about how to be the dad my two daughters needed. me to be. I still don't know if I accomplished that goal -- I wish Carpetner's Ultimate Stay-at-Home Dad manual existed back then! Modern dads are fortunate to have this warm, funny, and fantastic at-home dad in their corner, helping them be awesome fathers. Do not hesitate to get this manual for yourself, your buddy, or anyone who wants to be the ultimate stay-at-home papa.

An Invaluable, Tip-filled Guide for Any SAHD -- Or Any Parent!

Reviewed in the United States on December 6, 2021

The first thing that jumps out about The Ultimate Stay-at-Home Dad is Carpenter's original voice, which is infectious and makes it easy to tear through this in a single sitting. But the remarkable thing about this book is just how much practical advice is crammed into a hilarious, heartwarming and always enjoyable book that covers lots of new ground. The Ultimate Stay-at-Home Dad will prove invaluable to not only stand-at-home dads but to any parent looking to make the most out of their time with the kids. In addition to Carpenter's own experience, he also garners advice from his vast network of dads. In a world where dads are often painted as bumbling and infective, Carpenter's guide shines where by doing what so many dad books feel to do: Taking the role of father seriously and giving readers actionable info they can put to use right away. Whether you're looking for practical advice on the specifics of raising kids, funny anecdotes and stories or help with the more challenging emotional aspects of being a SAHD, there's truly something for everyone in this book, and I'd be shocked if this doesn't become a staple in the best dad -- and parenting -- books cited by experts for years and years to come.

This book is the perfect combination of usefulness and humor.

The tips are great, whether you're a mom, a dad, stay-at-home or not, giving us ideas about how to simplify daily parenting (from "don't share baby carriers with your wife" to "how to protect your mental health," practical to critical).

And the jokes make it all the better.

I wish every advice book were this darned funny.
