The discrepancy between the selfless, responsible, and socially-concerned titles of Davos presentations (about climate warming, inequality, concerns about healthcare) and the actual behind-the-scenes plans of the billionaire participants in the Davos Forum is striking. The discussion about how billionaires have transformed hospital care in the U.S. into a means of milking doctors, nurses, and, above all, patients, is disconcerting. Wonderful, superb book. Eye-opening! Highly recommended!
The first two parts of the book, while brilliantly written, may leave one with the feeling that there is no alternative to "Davos man's" exploitation of the citizenry throughout the globe. Yet, part 3 casts some rays of hope on the path ahead.

I thought I might regret buying the book, constantly being reminded of how selfish and detached from reality the financial elite of the world can be. Instead, I felr constantly enlightened and educated. I highly recommend anyone to read this book. I am of the opinion that our enemy is the 10% of the upper 1%, and their regard of all of the rest of us as ants on their antfarm. This book properly exposes and criticizes them and, in my opinion, puts blame in the right place.

What a depressing read. BUT READ IT!!

I got to hand it to Peter Goodman for his research and writing ability. But, it is depressing to see how the ultra rich have deformed the world to their own advantage.
But, read it because it helps put many of the machinations from today's world in perspective.
We are all living with the results of the actions of the Devos Man. I don't know what the end will look like. There are plenty of historical models. Look at history and make your own mind up.
This is work is worth the price of admission

This book I have been wishing to read for the last 5 years. You can't get any objective information from the internet about what actually goes on in Davos. But it is in all it's exploiting glory. It will answer a lot of questions about what is going on in our government and who's behind. Don't miss reading this book.
