Doone's podcast Female Startup Club is basically the only reason I've felt confident enough to start my own business. She always asks the right questions and I never fail to learn a million helpful things from each episode that are applicable to my own company. I knew her book would be no different.
It is thrilling to have these helpful bits of advice in written form now. Whether I'm facing a day of struggling with imposter syndrome or confused about marketing tactics, this book has me covered. It is a must for any female entrepreneur and stands out from almost all the other entrepreneurship books on the market for several reasons. This isn't just one person's story, a long case study, or 50 examples driving home the same point—these are 51 digestible interviews that can be flipped through in a sitting or two, or used as a daily bit of inspiration or encouragement. It's also fabulously curated to the point that the advice from leaders of companies in completely different industries is still applicable in many instances. It's comforting that they're all women, too, many of whom have bootstrapped their businesses or found creative ways of starting and funding. Most of the books I've read on my journey are from a male's perspective or discuss hefty investments that seem to appear out of nowhere, which isn't always doable or a good fit for every business. This also isn't a fluffy #girlboss kind of manifesto—it's real, gritty, and practical. It is so refreshingly different.
Every womxn starting a company should have this on their bookshelf!!

As a female entrepreneur approaching the 1 year anniversary of launching my company, and still working my full-time paying job, time is my most precious resource, and that is one of the best things about this book if you're a fellow entrepreneur or just a busy person looking for inspiration.
Your Hype Girl is quick, friendly and easy reading with something for everyone! There are so many gems you can take from a short session. Each chapter is just a few pages with a summary of insights from some of the most amazing female entrepreneurs.
Perfect book to read in the morning to get you inspired for the day rather than reaching for your phone. Simply flip to a chapter, dive right in and come out with a meaningful tidbit or two.
From Allison Ellsworth of poppi to Jing Gao of Fly by Jing some of my fav female entrepreneurs share their wisdom. With the 5-10 takeaways and 3 quick questions from each woman, it's all here, in bite-sized morsels so it's easy to digest in such little time.
I can't wait to get my hands on the paperback as I am a tactile reader and to share the magic with others!

This book is phenomenal if you are looking for inspiration on how to start you're own business and looking for ideas and strategies for growth, or if you are looking to just "lean in" more.
There is some really cool ideas and understandings on how to conquer the business world, for any female.

Inspiring and practical book highlighting the amazing stories of female founders and their startups

It is incredibly clear that the author Doone Roisin not only has a natural talent in networking and meeting incredible people but also in extracting their stories and distilling them down into a succinct, enjoyable read.
I loved the variety of businesses featured and reading each of the founders stories and I think the book is incredibly effective in making the dream of starting your own business accessible.
The question around what you would do "If you only had $1,000 left in your business bank account" is a brilliant one as it really forces focused answers from each of the entrepreneurs around what really matters to get traction for a business.
I'd love to see this book turned into a mini-documentary to add a visual element to all of these stories. Books are incredible, however, video can travel really far across so many mediums and have incredible reach. I would not be surprised if this is already on the cards for Doone as she's ambitious and such a go-getter!
This book will no doubt inspire others to go on and start their own business and I'm so excited to see the stories that come from those once they have read it!

This book should be treated like the Bible for female entrepreneurs. Read it front to back, back to front, passage by passage. And go again.

The authentic stories of 50 real female founders is so inspiring and motivating. The stories help me to realise that I can achieve my goals as a female founder despite the unique challenges I face due to my gender. The journey isn't easy but it's definitely possible and these women have proved this.
Thank you so much Doone for your tireless work bringing these stories to life - we need more women to be brave and to take the risk on their ideas in order to change the world. These stories, tips and lessons provide the platform to help women do just this.
Your own story is very inspiring Doone. You're an impressive entrepreneur in your own right which gives even more weight to these stories.
